The typical daily schedule of the brother is as follows:

12:00 (midnight) Rise

12:15 A.M. (in Church)
Matins
Return to cell, prayer and retire to bed

6:00 A.M. Rise
Prime, prayer, spiritual reading, possibly study
Assistance at the brother's Mass, the Community Mass or both, as he wishes

9:15 A.M. Work begins

11:45 A.M. Return to cell
Office of Sext
Dinner, (always meatless, on Fridays normally of bread and water only)
Office of None
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament if desired

1:15 P.M. Work resumed

4:30 P.M. Return to cell

5:00 P.M. (in Church or in cell)
Vespers

5:30 P.M. (in cell)
Prayer, spiritual reading and study
Supper except on Fridays and during Advent and Lent, when a simple collation of bread and, except on Fridays, a drink are taken.

8:00 P.M. Compline
Retire to bed

The brother's life is especially well-balanced, partaking as it does in the solitude of the cell and in work.
